Commercial Auto Insurance
Coverage to Help Keep Your Businesses in Motion
What Is Commercial Auto Insurance?
Commercial auto insurance is designed to protect you from financial losses caused by accidents involving vehicles you own, lease, or rent for work. Think of it as a safety net for company vehicles, helping you stay focused on the journey instead of worrying about the bumps in the road.
This policy covers cars, trucks, and vans used for business operations, including protection for damage to company vehicles, medical costs, and injuries suffered by others. Due to the nature of commercial operations, it offers higher liability limits than personal auto insurance.

Who Needs Commercial Auto Insurance?
Our commercial auto insurance policies are designed for businesses that haul their own products and gear, not vehicles that haul commodities for others. They’re also suitable for plumbers, electricians, florists, furniture stores, landscapers, and contractors who transport people, tools, equipment, and supplies to and from job locations. Coverage is available for a wide range of vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 26,000 pounds.

Coverage Options
Built for the long haul, Haulers Insurance offers straightforward protection, flexible payments, and fast claims support to keep your operation moving. Whether you’re heading to the next job site or delivering your latest shipment, this program is designed to provide coverage options that fit, pricing you can count on, and customer service you can trust.
Required Coverage
- Liability for Bodily Injury, and Property Damage – Covers injuries or death of pedestrians or passengers in other vehicles resulting from an accident caused by a company vehicle. It also includes damage to or loss of property belonging to others, such as cars, buildings, or fences.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist – This coverage can help pay certain covered expenses for you and your passengers if the driver who caused the accident doesn’t have insurance. If the at-fault driver’s insurance limits are too low, underinsured motorist coverage helps cover the difference between those limits and the actual damages, up to the policy’s maximum.
Optional Coverage
- Medical Payments – Provides coverage for reasonable, necessary medical, and funeral expenses incurred by drivers and passengers injured in a covered auto accident, regardless of fault.
- Non-Owned Auto Coverage – Provides liability coverage if employees cause bodily injury or property damage while driving their own personal vehicles or vehicles owned by others for company business.
- Hired Auto Coverage – Can provide liability and/or physical damage coverage (depending upon coverage selection) for vehicles.
- Drive Other Car Coverage – Extends commercial policy liability to named individuals (usually executives) and their spouses while driving non-owned vehicles (e.g. rentals or borrowed cars) for personal use. For example, when a company executive uses a company car as their personal vehicle.

What Kinds of Vehicles Are Covered?
- All private passenger cars or vans used for retail or service use.
- Pickup trucks for service or retail use.
- All autos up to 26,000 GVW will be considered.
